Yoshitomo Nara Untitled (Schrödinger) Single Skateboard
Created by Yoshitomo Nara in 2002 for this limited-edition skateboard, the artwork Untitled (Schrödinger) features one of the artist’s signature subjects emerging from a hazy cube, at once disgruntled and content, with eyes that are at once sweet and sinister. The work is reminiscent of the Schrodinger’s Box problem, a famous thought experiment that questions the nature of things unseen.
The Yoshitomo Nara Untitled (Schrödinger)Skateboard is produced by The Skateroom, a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowering organizations, and is made from seven-ply Canadian maple wood. It measures 32h x 8.25w x 0.5". Yoshitomo Nara’s work is represented in MoMA’s collection.
