Description

MoMA Exclusive: A playful rendition of a Bodum classic, this Assam Brew Teapot, a design from 1988 updated exclusively for MoMA Design Store, offers bold color combinations. Made for brewing loose tea, this borosilicate glass teapot has a stainless steel steeping cylinder with a silicone-rim plunger that locks your tea leaves into the bottom of the filter once brewing is complete, cutting off access of water to the leaves. This allows tea to be recycled for multiple uses. The Assam Brew Teapot measures  6.25h x 7.5w x 5.6”d, holds 34 oz and features contrasting color parts in polypropylene. Made in Portugal. Hand wash.

How the Assam Works
Place the teapot with infuser on a flat, heat-proof, non-slip surface.
Add your preferred tealeaves into the filter. We recommend 2-3 scoops of black tea or 3 scoops of herbal tea for each liter of water.
Pour in hot water.
Place the lid on the pot with the plunge in the raised position, and let your tea brew – 3-5 minutes for black tea, or 5-10 minutes for herbal and fruit teas.
Once your tea is at its preferred strength, firmly press the plunger down to stop the brewing process. Serve and savor.
